Alingsås, Svedplan

Site characteristics

Existing building. 3 buildings connected under same roof, same floor level,  41m x 108 m, 60m x 60m, 60m x 60m. Roof heights 5,1 – 8,0 m. The site comprises 28.000 m² and the land plot is  96.000 m², so there is plenty of expansion possibilities.

Rent is 200 SEK per square meter/year plus costs and taxes. 
The premises was previously used for furniture production to IKEA.

Climate

Average temperature per year 6°C. Average max temperature for May is 16°C, June 20°C, July 20°C, August 19°C – measured as average from 1961-2010.

Power

Today: Load to site 3.0 MVA, 40 kV

Connectivity

Redundant dark fiber on site. Fiber providers are Alingsås Energi and Telia. We have  the possibility to expand the capacity and redundancy in corporation with Vattenfall.

Cooling

500 meters to closest lake. Water facilities already in place.

Arboga, Marieborg

Site characteristics

Greenfield. Site is flat and ready to build within 1 month. All Infrastructure in place as roads, water supply,waste water connections and electricity. The municipality has invested USD 3 million in infrastructure and zoned for new buildings, industrial use. Total area available 237 0000 m², buildable area 118 500 m².

Climate

Average temperature per year 6,93°C. Highest average temperature in July 17,33 °C. Lowest average temperature in february -1,95°C. A temperature over 25°C is reached under only 3 % of all hours of the warmest period April-Aug.

Power

Today: Load to site 10 MW, 12 kV

Next phase:
Possible to upgrade load to 50-80 MW within 18-24 months from order. Possible to feed with dual redundant 130 kV or 12 kV to site. Upgrade will include extension of regional line and new 40 MW substation.

Connectivity

Arboga has a unique position where the national fibre main highway passes the actual site.
Redundant dark fiber available. Distance to core fibre backbone is 400 meters. At least 3 providers in Arboga; IP Only, Skanova (Telia Sonera) and Mälarenergi/Municipality of Arboga.

Cooling

There are several alternatives for cooling: 
Alt 1: Cleaned water supply from municipality and if cooling water is returned there will be a major discount.
Alt 2: Cooling water from Arboga river for cooling
Alt 3: Cooperate with local district heating plant and sell warm water.
Alt 4: Free air cooling and possible to fit a building along major wind directions (WSW).

2011-02-01

Arvidsjaur, Nordlunda

Location

Arvidsjaur is known for the subarctic climate and as world leading center for winter tests within the car industry. Arvidsjaur is located in Lapland, nearby the arctic circle, 400 meters above sea level. Communication is very good with an international airport 10 minutes from the city center.

Special importance

- Europe's lowest electricity prices.
- The cool climate gives the availability to free cooling 10-11 months per year.
- Average annual temperature of Arvidsjaur is – 2 °C (28,4 °F).
- High-quality power. Green energy (hydropower), from Skelleftea and Lule river produces 2,6 TWh and 13.6 TWh, corresponding to almost 12% of Sweden's total demand. The municipality of Arvidsjaur is planning for windpower up to 1 TWh.
- Low land prices and water charges.
- Easy to find experienced and competent labour.

Total area

Up to 220,000 m² greenfield.

Power

Very good electrical infrastructure with grid redundancy provided by Vattenfall AB. 10 MW to the site within 3 months from nearby substation (650 meters). It is also possible to increase the capacity from the substation and to feed from another substation if needed.

Connectivity

Fully redundant 24 single-mode optical fiber at the site (owned by the Arvidsjaurcitynet) can easy be connected to 96 single-mode fiber and more if needed. Arvidsjaurcitynet is a nod with full redundancy in four different directions within Europe's largest open fiber network (TEAM Norrland, 20 000 km fibre). As an open network the customer can choose whatever operator/serviceprovider they like. Also the fibre providers Skanova (TeliaSonera) and Banverket is nearby and can be connected to the site.

Avesta, Nordanö Industrial Area

170 kilometres north west of Stockholm. Distance to Arlanda International Airport, 130 km.

Site characteristics

Greenfield, the site will be opened 2010/2011. Undeveloped land zoned for industrial use. Total area 502 000 m²,  buildable area 400 000 m².

Climate

Average temperature per year 5°C. Average number of days per year with max temperature >25°C is 16 days.

Power

Today: Available load 2 MW
Future alternatives: 5 MW available in 2 months, 10 MW in 6 months, 20 MW in 18 months, 40 MW in 24 months. 

220 kV grid available 3 km from the site and another 220 kV line in Fors, about 11 km from the site.

Connectivity

Redundant dark fiber 3 km from site. Fiber provider is the muncipality of Avesta.

Cooling

Besides the ordinary cooling possibilities (air and water) it is only 1.5 km to the big river Dalälven that can be used for cooling.

Site characteristics

Industrial site located in Svenstavik. The total area is 1,2 hectares. Industrial building with production area of 6.260 sq.m, storage of 3.400 sq.m and office of 450 sq.m. A total area of 10.140 sq.m.

Climate

Average temperature per year +3,7 degress Celsius. Average number of days per year with max temperature > 25 degress Celsius is 2,3 days.

Power

Today: Capacity to site 2 MW, +4 MW within 9 months from order, fully redundant.

Connectivity

Fiber. Redundant dark fiber close to the site border (50 and 150 meters). Fiber providers are Telia Sonera and Trafikverket.

Cooling

Water supplied from the municipality waterling.

Incentives

Svenstavik is located in Support area A, the highest incentive level in Sweden with a possibility for investment grant of up to 35 percent.

Boden, Helicopter hangars

Boden, a city in Northern Sweden at the same latitude as Fairbanks, Alaska. This site is situated next to the Lule river, 300 meters from Boden hydro power station.

The site is located 30 minutes from Luleå University of Technology.

Site characteristics

Former helicopter base, now zoned for industrial use. Total land area is approximately 66 000m² with possibilities to expand with at least 140 000m² land owned by the Municipality of Boden.

The site is located about 300 meters from the Lule River, the most important hydropower river in Sweden, produces 13.6 TWh, corresponding to almost 10% of Sweden's total demand. Boden hydro power station has an effect of 75 MW and produces 455 GWh.

The site has extremely good conditions for safe, green and high power electricity.

Low land prices and water charges.

Buildings

Two existing buildings with a total building area of 13 800m²(148 000ft²).

Can easily be integrated to one building(17 000m²). Expandable common area, 40 000 m² (430 000ft²).

Building 1: 6 300m² of which approximately 5 200 m² has an indoor height of > 8 meters.

Building  2: 7 500m² of which approximately 4 500m² has an indoor height of > 8 meters.

Climate

Average temperature per year 1,3°C(34.3°F). Average number of days per year with max temperature >25°C(77°F) is four (4).

Power

Today: Load to site 1,5 MW, 20 kV (construction power)   
Alternative I: Load to site 30 MW within 4-6 months from order.
Installation of two new 20 kV feeders to site to manage an effect up to 30 MW
Alternative II: Load to site 80 MW within approximately 18 months from order.
Installation of two new 145 kV feeders (redundant) to manage an effect up to 80 MW, construction and installation of a new substation for 145 kV -> 20kV

Power provider is Vattenfall(100% owned by the Swedish government) and Bodens Energi (100% owned by Municipality of Boden). 

Connectivity

Redundant dark fiber approximately 1000 meters from site. Fiber provider is Bodens Energi (100% owned by Municipality of Boden) and Teliasonera.

Cooling

Different options; Fresh air cooling 12 months per year, water cooling.

Received permission to take water for cooling from the river.

Average number of days per year with maximum temperature >25°C is 16 days.

Power

Today: 20 MW / 10 kV planned for October 2011, no redundancy.
Phase I: Redundant 10 MW load at site, 10kV, 6-12 months from order. Investment 10 million SEK.
Phase II: Redundant 20-50 MW load to site, 130kV, estimated within 18-24 months from order. Investment for 50 MW approx 59 million SEK.

Connectivity

Redundant dark fiber 150 meters from site. Fibernet providers are Bornet, all fiber suppliers in Sweden available.

Cooling

Water cooling lake Öresjö 800 meters, pumpstations available, district cooling, air cooling and other innovatations: reduce energy need or source.

Eskilstuna, Hållsta

Location

The Hållsta IT Centre is located outside Stockholm, in Eskilstuna, about 95 km from Stockholm City.

Special importance

Former IBM/Landbruksdata DC facility. UPS-units, Hi-Fog systems in the computer rooms and ultramodern heat pumps that uses the heat from the computers to warm the office areas. Diesel Generators. All the technical systems are up to date and are recently tested and serviced. To build a site like this today would cost in the region of 20-30 M Euro.

Total area

28 000 m² buildings with, 2 140 m² DC facility and 2 750 m² prepared for DC activities.

Power

10 MW within 3 months, up to 120 MW possible, 2 feeds 11 kV each with transformers to 400 V, can feed separately or together.

Connectivity

There are 2 separate incoming fiber nets. These nets comes into the building on separate redundant ways.

Water

At site and property border.
