A large number of companies are establishing regional headquarters, using Sweden as their regional base. With an efficient outsourcing market for functions such as customer care, purchasing and logistics, Sweden has become a natural hub for the region.
According to a recent study by Øresundsinstituttet in Copenhagen 67 percent of the multinational corporations in Scandinavia have placed their head offices in Stockholm. 28 percent chose Copenhagen. The study is based on Forbes list of the 2000 largest companies in the world. Around 300 of those are represented in Scandinavia.
