Facebook's investment in Luleå is fantastic and a confirmation that Sweden is a very interesting location for datacenters. But, there is still potential for more investments of a similar character in Sweden. We continue our work to attrect more investments. Our primary focus is on North America but we are also having discussions with companies in Europe and Asia, primarily in India, Japan and China.

Who are interested?

The companies that we turn to are primarily internet- and web companies, of which Facebook is an example. They build large facilities for their own use. But we are also having discussions with telecom companies and others that want to supply cloud services. For these companies there is a number of co-location and wholesale-suppliers that build facilities and rent capacity to others. The specifics on these datacenters vary but there are no dramatic variations between the categories and that is why we continue to cooperate with regions all over Sweden to be able to supply several attractive alternatives to all the companies that see Europe as a location.
